Trap Chicken's Story:
Corey Williams's motto when it comes to running his American food and BBQ restaurant is "To wake up, cook, and serve people every day you have to love it". Located on Park Avenue in Bridgeport, CT stands Trap Chicken - a restaurant that has homemade food filled with love, barbeque, and community.
Corey Williams is the owner, chef, waiter, and dishwasher of Trap Chicken, running the show through and through. The restaurant did not start out in its current located on Park Avenue, as Corey began cooking out of his home in Bridgeport about 2 years ago. He began cooking and selling BBQ out of his home on Fridays and Saturdays, turning his passion into an additional stream of income. People loved his cooking and kept coming back for more, and about seven months into his home business, he rented out a kitchen in a bar.
A few more months down the road, Corey rented out the space that Trap Chicken currently resides in - 500 Park Avenue. This is a place special to Corey's heart as it is directly across the street from where he grew up in Bridgeport, giving him pride in the fact that he is giving back to his home & community.
Corey is a proud owner of Trap Chicken and his passion for cooking is what drives his business, creating a delicious menu that has just about something for everyone to get "trapped in".

The Food:
Corey says that Trap Chicken got its name from customers literally being trapped in by the chicken wings and other delectable food items. Customers sometimes return 2-3 times a day to refill and replenish their stomachs with Corey's cooking creations.
The menu item has a variety of items including, but not limited to: BBQ, smoked ribs, smoked chicken, fish, pork chops, salmon, and more! To come along with these mouth-watering items are the 20+ unique sauces curated by Trap Chicken. Corey's original sauce called the YaHeardMe is their #1 seller. Customers love to put these sauces not only on chicken but almost just about anything from burgers to fried shrimp to ribs.
And yes, Trap Chicken has even more menu items, including a customer favorite: the Trap Mac & Cheese Burger (don't get too hungry!). You must take a stop by Trap Chicken, but HERE is the menu for you to look over in the meantime!
